Segovia is the capital city of the Province of Segovia.The city is located within the Iberian Peninsula, near Valladolid and the capital of the country of Spain- Madrid. This city was ruled by both Romans and Arabs and used to be an important trade center for wool and textile. In the year 1985 the city was declared as a World Heritage city by UNESCO as it houses the excellent Roman Aqueduct which was believed to be built in 50 AD and the Alcazar which is an excellent 11th century castle. The city has been a center for tourism for over many years where people visit to see the historical architectures and the stunning city of warm terracotta and sandstone.
