Launceston is a city located in the provinces of Tasmania in Australia. Launceston is located, at the confluence of two rivers of North Esk and South Esk rivers which jointly make the Tamar River. Launceston is the second largest city in Tasmania after the capital city of Hobart. The city was established by Europeans and Launceston is one of Australia's oldest cities and it is a proud land which boasts many historic buildings and landmarks.
