Nile

Yangtze is the longest in the world and it flows completely within one country and also known as the biggest rivers that discharge massive volumes of water and ranked third in the world on this aspect.

This is the main river of North America and also known as the largest drainage system of the continent. This is the third largest river after Yangtze flowing in China. The yellow river is also praised for other reasons and that is its great place in China’s history and development. Yellow River is often known with another name of the cradle of Chinese civilization, due to it’s basin that used to be the source of ancient Chinese civilization, and was called as the most prosperous region in past history of Chinese civilization.
Ob
This is a major river of Russia that flows through Siberia and Russia. The water of River Ob is basically used for drinking, irrigation, fishing and hydroelectric energy works. The river has many tributaries and often known for its various bridges that is built on it and these bridges are made to serve people of these nations and also to serve people in various other cities.

Mackenzie
This is the largest and the longest water system of Canada and is surpassed only by the Mississippi River in North America. Mackenzie is the largest river flowing into the Arctic from North America, and there are many of its tributaries that all together make it as one of the longest rivers in the world. The water of the river and its tributaries is used for agricultural purposes, hydroelectricity production, and flood control.
Brahmaputra
This is a trans-boundary river and one of the major rivers of Asia. The flow of the river is really long and originated from the Himalayas of Tibet and flows across into Arunachal Pradesh in India through the Assam Valley as Brahmaputra and south through Bangladesh as the Jamuna unites with the Padma, and finally with Meghna and empties into the Bay of Bengal. The river changes its name according to the country it passes.
Mekong
The Mekong River is a trans-boundary river that flows in Southeast Asia and the river is the world’s 12th-longest river and the 7th-longest in Asia and flows through major Asian countries. The river flows through the Tibetan Plateau and runs through Yunnan province of China’s, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. The biodiversity of Mekong is ranked second after Amazon and there are uncountable number of fish species can be seen in the river.
The Ganges
The Ganges or the Ganga is a trans-boundary river that flows through Asia which passes through the countries of India and Bangladesh. Ganga is considered as the holiest river of Hinduism, and rises from the Himalayas in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, and flows through the Gangetic Plain of North India into Bangladesh, where it empties into the Bay of Bengal. The Hindus consider this river and its water to be the purest and purifying and that is why they flow the ashes of the deceased relative into the water of the river to grant him or her salvation.
