Anjuna Beach is one of the most popular beaches of North Goa that reminisce the aura of the 70’s with its overcrowded hippie tourists. The Beach is a great hangout place for all ages and the beach is especially known for its swarm of tourists that get in huge numbers during the Christmas and New Year Celebrations and witnessing some very romantic sunsets. Anjuna Beach is shoreline of the village of Anjuna that holds some very significant chapel and churches of Goa dated back to the 16th Century. St. Michael's Church, Nossa Senhora de Piedade, Nossa Senhora de Saude and St. Antonio are the main ones that could be visited besides having fun in the beaches.

Goa Airport to Anjuna Beach : From Dabolim Airport you can hire a bus which will take around 90 miuntes but with a taxi you can save up to half an hour. People who are driving their own conveyance can save some more time.
By Railways to Anjuna Beach : The nearest railway station is Thivim Railway Station and there are ample of bus services can be availed from here. You can also find various taxis and autos nearby the station.
By Road to Anjuna Beach : Panji to Anjuna Distance is about 22 kms and will take about 50 minutes to reach via Car or taxis. Local buses will take more time to reach there. Mapusa to Anjuna distance is about 10 Km and can be traveled in half an hour via taxis or bike.
There are number of ways to travel aroun the Anjuna beach or if you have booked your accommodation at Anjuna Beach. Either you can book or hire private vehicle or you can use the public transport. Public transport are the cheapest but are time consuming. Best way to travel around the Ajuna is to rent a bike and explore the area around the beach.
Renting Bikes at Anjuna Beach : It is the best way to explore any part of the Goa. It saves your time and you can travel on your own without time boundations. Tourists can rent bike on a daily basis by paying from Rs 200 – Rs 450 depending on the bike you are choosing. You will need to deposit some amount and give some valid id proof. These bikes are easily available in any part of the goa just ask the hotel, restaurant or shack owners.
By Auto / Taxi : These are not recommended since they are highly priced and are very time consuming. The best is to rent bike. Though for airport and railway station transport they are the best transport facility available in Goa.
