Santorini is a tranquil destination to breathe in the joys of heaven and one of the most beautiful places to visit in Greece. The splendor of the multihued cliffs, fabulous sunsets, and deep-blue water and the active volcanoes makes the travelers go weak on knees. Fira’s white cobblestone streets bustle with shops, taverns, hotels and cafes, while it clings on the edge of around 400 meters.

Mykonos is well-known as an international destination in Greece. Mykonos Chora is a strikingly pictorial Cycladic town. Its streets are like a web It is famous for its sandy beaches and intense nightlife as evident from a vast number of bars and nightclubs.

Rhodes Islands is the largest of the Dodecanese islands in terms of land area and also holds a lot of historical importance. It was inhabited in the Neolithic age and has ancient monuments that date back to the 16th century.

Corfu Island is located in the Ionian Sea and is the second largest of the Ionian Islands. The soft sandy beaches, luxurious accommodations and an awe inspiring setting makes it a great place for a romantic vacation.

Meteora literally means ‘Suspended in the air’. It was a refuge for the Eastern Orthodox monks during the expanding Turkish occupation. Out-of-the-way rock pillars scattered over this area along with caverns and tall terraces provided an idyllic place for pious meditation.

Built entirely of marble, the temple used to house a giant statue of Athena, the city patron goddess. The visit to this city is incomplete if you have not climbed the rocky crag. White Doric columns, monuments and temples shimmer in the sunlight. The bright and illuminated Acropolis is a must watch at night.

Acclaimed as the center of the Earth and Universe, Delphi historical and spiritual significance. It comprises of classical temples, a theatre and a stadium. A number of findings are displayed at the Delphi Archaeological Museum. Although the eternal flame is no longer burnt inside, a visit to the Temple of Apollo is obligatory.

This medieval sea port is protected by two castles: the Old Citadel at the top and the New Fortress at the sea. It is full of neo-classical mansions, many old-fashioned tavernas and souvenir shops at ground level.

Naflio is one of the luxurious weekend destinations. It became the first capital of modern Greece in 1828 before Athens took over in 1834. The town is car free and is adorned with mansions and churches built in Neo Classical style.

Zagorohoria is a collection of 46 stone villages.Papingo and Monodendri are the best known Zagorohoria. Hiking down the Vikos Gorge is the best attraction of this place. You can even participate in paragliding, mountain biking, rafting and canoeing.

Thessaloniki is the second biggest city in Greece. It was founded in 316 BC and faces the Aegean Sea. Their major attractions are its UNESCO-listed Byzantine churches. The 15th century White Tower on the seafront and an excellent Byzantine Museum are also worth visiting.

The Samariá Gorge is a 16 kms long canyon in southwest Crete. Walking the Samariá Gorge is very popular.It passes through ancient forests of cypresses and pines and emerges at Agia Roumeli on the Libyan sea.
