Nainital is a popular hills station and one of the reasons behind it is its pleasant climate. The hill station is perched at an altitude of 2084mts above the sea level between the Himalayas, due to which the temperature here never gets above 25°C in the mightiest of summers and the winters bring pleasant snow fall, not mush for a snow storm but enough for you to enjoy the snow all around. Climb up the top of the Naina Mountain to reach the Naini peak located at a height of 2615mts to witness the most amazing view of the panoramic Himalayan peaks and the little Naini Lake surrounded by hills form all sides. If this is not enough then head out to the Snow point which is located at an altitude of 2270mts and can be reached through a ride in the cable car. The Snow point is named so as it shows you the best views of the Snow clad mountains of Nanda Devi, Trishul and Nand Kot.

Many of the hotels here have great view of the lake and are little pricey and as compared to other such places the rates here are relatively low. The boating charges are minimal being in the midst of the nature some of the most amazing places here are free of cost and those with cost are not like that you can’t afford which makes Nainital a great destination for a short romantic trip.
