Tour Itinerary

Day 01
Arrival in Bogota:
Upon arrival to Bogota airport you will be transferred to your city hotel. With its population of some eight million people, Bogota is the largest city in Colombia, which makes it a great cultural center. Here you will find many parks, gardens, restaurants, and hotels. You can see the sights and historic structures or enjoy the nightlife. Bogota offers something for everybody! Lodging at the Casa Deco Hotel 3* in Bogota.

Day 02
Bogota Half Day City Tour (B):
We begin our Colombia adventure with a half day tour in the bustling city of Bogota¡ starting with a walk around Bogota’s main square, the Plaza de Bolivar and the government buildings around it, before entering the nearby Candelaria old town, the colonial centre of the city. We follow this with visits to San Francisco church and to the world-famous Museo Del Oro (closed on Mondays), which contains more than 30.000 pre-Columbian gold artifacts. We end with a trip by cable car to the summit of Monserrate hill, Bogota’s best-known landmark, with a wonderful view of the whole city and the savannah beyond. Day 03
Bogota / Nuqui (B, D):
Our third day starts with a transfer to the airport and a flight from Bogota with one stop in Medellin(flight is not included on price), destination Nuqui, a village on the pacific coast. After a short walk around, we board a small motor-boat to make the one hour trip south along the coast to Coqui cove. This is the spectacular seaside setting of the El Cantil cabanas. Three -3- nights in the huts, including full board. Daily walks to the sea and into the deep tropical forest surrounding El Cantil Lodging at El Cantil Lodge in Nuqui.

Day 04-05
Nuqui (B, L, D):
These days enjoy a series of activities such as: excursion to thermal baths, excursion to a hidden waterfall inside the tropical forest. Plus a variety of programs planned every day, depending on the days of stay and plan selected. Excursions to the sea and the tropical forest that borders on the beach, whale watching, surfing, diving, snorkel, etc. Lodging at El Cantil Lodge in Nuqui- full board.

Day 06
Nuqui / Coffee Region (B):
After 3 days of enjoying at the pacific coast it is time to discover the most known product of Colombia, coffee. We return by motor-boat to Nuqui and have a transfer to the airport. Flight via Medellin to Pereira or Armenia,(flight is not included on the price) there you will enjoy two nights including breakfast in a very typical coffee farm. Lodging at Hacienda Combia in Armenia

Day 07
Coffee Region (B):
We start the morning with a visit to the coffee growing area in a farm which includes a technical and practical introduction about the whole coffee cultivation and production. We continue our trip to the Cocora Valley, once there we will enjoy breathtaking landscapes which will be explored by a horse riding or walking trip, this is in one of the most beautiful places in Colombia. Here we will find the impressive Palma de Cera, the Colombian national tree and one of the tallest varieties of palm in the world. On the way back to Armenia we will visit Salento, a picturesque village in the middle of the coffee growing landscape.. Lodging at Hacienda Combia in Armenia.

Day 08
Coffee Region / San Agustin (B):
After breakfast follows a transfer to the airport and a flight to Neiva with one stop in Bogota.(flight is not included on the price). Upon arrival in Neiva, we continue our journey with an overland trip of 4-5 hours through the mountainous landscape of the river Magdalena to San Agustin. Reaching the village you will be transferred to a wonderful hotel where you will enjoy a three night’s stay including American breakfast. Lodging at the Hacienda Anacaona in San Agustin.

Day 09
San Agustin (B):
In the morning, an extensive visit to the San Agusti­n Archaeological Park, we will see the Mesitas A-B-C and D, the Fuente Ceremonial de Lavapatas and the Archaeological Museum. In the afternoon, horseback ride to El Tablon and La Chaquira archaeological spots or alternatively a visit to the nearby straits of the Magdalena Lodging at the Hacienda Anacaona in San Agustin.

Day 10
San Agustin (B):
After breakfast we start off with a trip to the nearby village of San Jose de Isnos, to see the treasures of its archaeological park, the Alto de los Idolos, Alto de las Piedras, and the Salto Del Mortino waterfalls. In the afternoon we return to San Agustin where you will have free time at leisure.. Lodging at the Hacienda Anacaona in San Agustin.

Day 11
San Agustin / Cartagena (B):
In the morning, overland trip back to Neiva. Flight to Cartagena, via Bogota.(flight is not included on the price) Welcome by the local travel guide. Transfer to hotel. The remainder of the day will be at the tourist’s disposal. Lodging at the Monterrey Hotel in Cartagena.

Day 12
Cartagena Half day city tour (B):
After a good night’s sleep a half day tour around Cartagena, one of the most impressive urban centers in Latin America awaits us. It is an ancient city constructed in the Spanish colonial style and surrounded by high defensive walls. But don’t be surprised if your own defenses fall and you find yourself falling in love with Cartagen’s heady mix of history and Caribbean charm. The tour takes us around all the historic buildings and plazas of the old city, including the La Popa convent and San Felipe castle. The afternoon will be at your disposal to either explore the streets of the old city or take a bath in the Caribbean Sea. Lodging at the Monterrey Hotel in Cartagena.

Day 13
Cartagena Rosario Island Tour (B, L):
Today will be a day of sea sun and sand. We start the day with a speed boat ride towards the San Martin Island where we will have a visit of the aquarium and a chance to see performing dolphins and sharks. We continue to the privately owned Pirate’s Island were we will spend the rest of the day, after lunch you will have enough time to relax, sunbath and snorkel or take a dip in the Caribbean sea. We return to Cartagena during the late afternoon Lodging at the Monterrey Hotel in Cartagena.

Day 14:
Departure (B):
You’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
